Dental Surgeries

  • Simple extractions. These are decided to do when a large part of the dental tissue is damaged and is no longer able to perform any restoration on it.
  • Complex extractions. It consists of taking a total or partial sample of suspicious tissue, to be examined under a microscope by a pathologist.
  • Third molar extraction. Indicated procedure to remove the wisdom teeth that are not erupting properly.
  • Mucocele surgery. Mucocele is an accumulation of mucin, caused by a rupture of the duct of a salivary gland, caused by a trauma (blow or bite). They are usually found in children and adolescents. This procedure involves removing the affected salivary gland.
  • Frenectomy. Surgical procedure that eliminates the frenulum, which may be affecting the dental or prosthetic position or the mobility of the tongue or lip.
  • Biopsy. It consists of taking a total or partial sample of suspicious tissue, to be examined under a microscope by a pathologist.
